Government Spending
I believe that the American government's spending is both out of control and misdirected. U.S. politicians have their priorities mixed up as the things that need funding for the good of the humans that inhabit America are not receiving anywhere near what they should be. The war on terrorism is projected to have cost the U.S. 233 billion dollars by the year 2014, even with the decrease of ground troop occupation. In 2010 there were only 25 deaths of non-combatants that were confirmed to be caused by "terrorism" worldwide. In 2006, coronary heart disease killed exactly 631,636 people in the United States alone. In 2010, the United States government sanctioned approximately 15,000 dollars to be spent on the research of coronary heart disease. If this does not seem like an unjust inequality to you, then you cannot read numbers.

I completely agree with you Robbie, our government is funding unnecessary material that does not benefit our country in any way. Instead money should be going towards our school systems, roadways, disease and environmental research, and improving infrastructure. We should allow other countries to practice their own sovereignty and stop this unpopular war/ spending.
